Service

I am proud of my service to the design industry and community. I have been involved with numerous professional organizations that promote design both locally and regionally throughout my career. During grad school, I was a graduate/teaching assistant at the University of South Alabama, helping facilitate students in animation and graphic design for the Department of Art & Art History. I also helped update the department's marketing materials and website during my time as a graduate assistant.

I was a founding board member of AIGA Mobile, serving as Member-at-Large from 2014 to 2016. I have been an active member in the subsequent years, frequently acting as a reviewer at Flourish—the organization’s student review conference. I served as the Scholarship Chair for the Mobile Chapter of the American Advertising Federation from 2005 to 2006 and have remained an active member of the organization. I served as the social media chair for the Society of Professional Marketing – Southeast Louisiana from 2014 to 2015 and have remained an active member in the chapter.

I recently completed my second term as vice president of Pensacola Designers and served as the speaker coordinator for the organization’s DesignXL conference. I was on staff for Creative South, acting as a member-at-large and hosting the Creative South Podcast from 2015 to 2019. In addition to the professional groups that I have been a member of, I also devoted a great deal of time to serving the Mobile Regional area as a board member of the Mobile Azalea Trail Maids, part of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, from 2005 to 2009.
